The Reformed Church International South Africa (RCISA) is an extension of our sister church in Zimbabwe, the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (https://bit.ly/2XOOFIo). As Witness Ministry is nurturing the relationship with the RCZ ever since its existence, it was the normal thing to do and keep on strengthening our association with this new denomination as well.
Therefore the RCISA’s congregation in Johannesburg was one of the churches that recently has received monetary assistance from Witness Ministry to support them with challenges in these trying COVID-19 lock-down times.
“We have channeled it (the fund) towards our COVID-19 hamper initiative under the Compassionate and Community Ministry,” Dr Jubilee Chikasha, secretary of their church council wrote in his letter of thanks to Witness Ministry. “Our COVID-19 hamper initiative is aimed at helping out those affected by the pandemic with food parcels. We are therefore happy to let you know that through your assistance, we are able to help a number of families with food hampers,” he explains. “We are truly grateful for your assistance. May God continue to bless you abundantly.”
Witness Ministry is very grateful to all our congregations and donors whose faithful contributions enable support like this in times of urgent need. When you consider a contribution to our sister church in Zimbabwe again, think of the many people from there that you have met as waiters in restaurants, maybe a doctor or nurse, car watch or gardener – and contribute with a glad heart.
