“I have learnt how to be critical when reading the Bible, to listen what it says, and apply it to my daily life. I learnt how to improve my daily life guided by the word of God,” says Babalwa Make, one of the Christian Women’s Ministry (CWM) members who attended the introduction to CBS workshop on 11 March.
This workshop was facilitated by Rev. Babalwa Sifuba to 16 members of the CWM of URCSA George Presbytery in Plettenberg Bay at URCSA KwaNokuthula congregation.
Rev. Sifuba says, “The workshop was a success. In our introduction the theme that was discussed was disunity and unity within the ministry. We chose 1 Corinthians 12:12-28 as Scripture focus. It was an interesting discussion as the members were talking about the reality of disunity amongst them. They then tried to find ways that will assist in bridging the gap as it is stated in this text that they all need each other.
This is what another WCM member, Nolithemba Lose, has to say about her experience at the workshop, “From the scripture today I have learnt that we need to appreciate each other, even those we see as being weak. We need them to be able to function as a ministry. We need to show more love and be united as sisters.”
