“This workshop helped me a lot, building my confidence, equipping me with more detailed and informative knowledge about Contextual Bible Study (CBS), and especially about how to facilitate a CBS workshop.” This is what Nosipho has to say about the CBS training workshop she recently attended.

She was one of the three Christian Women’s Ministry (CWM) members who attended the CBS facilitators workshop for Fish River Presbytery on 22 April at URCSA Immanuel Congregation at Cradock.

According to the facilitator, Rev. Babalwa Sifuba, it was, in spite of the small group, an exciting experience for all of them. She says, “This was one of the most informative and energetic training sessions I facilitated in a long time. The group was interactive and engaging. We explored the dynamics of groups, the do’s and don’ts, and we all had the opportunity to trial on how we can present or facilitate CBS in different ways.”

One of the other attendees, Yolanda, says, “It was so informative. I have learnt how to introduce CBS, and about different ways of gathering a group and coming up with a theme. I am empowered to go out and do CBS on my own now.”
