On Sunday, February 11th, Rev. Stephen Pedro, MSS (Minister in Synodical Service), officially commenced the missional transformation process with a workshop at URCSA Stellenbosch, where Rev. Clive Jacobs serves as the minister. The gathering included 17 church council members, along with Prop. Sabrina September, newly appointed this year to collaborate with Rev. Jacobs in his congregation.

Rev. Pedro noted, “What makes this process particularly intriguing is that, given Rev. Jacobs’ imminent retirement at the end of the year, it will be intentionally intensive. Rev. Jacobs is eager to propel the missional transformation as far as possible before his departure.”

Rev. Pedro outlined to the church council how the transformation process will unfold, explaining the various phases. He then stressed the importance of decisions regarding actions and objectives at each stage. The process commenced with the envisioning phase, a highly productive exercise.

“We eagerly anticipate the journey ahead,” expressed Rev. Pedro.
