“The situation in Zimbabwe is very difficult for people to enjoy their rights,” says General Secretary of our sister church, the CCAP Harare Synod, Rev. Kingstar Chipata. “The government has become unfriendly. The rights of people are not respected. There is no freedom of speech. There is abduction and torturing of people who speak out and those who expose corruption. Human rights activists and journalists are arrested. Some vocal members of the opposition part are arrested without specific charges.”
