We all know the wonderful feeling of belonging when visited, especially by family members. And this is exactly what Kobus Odendaal, manager of Witness Ministry, experienced when he was visited by members of our sister church in Malawi, the (Church in Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) last week.

CCAP Livingstonia Synod

On Tuesday 15 June he was visited by Rev. William Kalua who is the minister for church members from Northern Malawi belonging to the CCAP Livingstonia Synod working in Cape Town and surrounding towns. For these migrant-Christians this ministry is of great value. They spoke about the huge challenges these members are facing in COVID times and his efforts to revitalize his congregation.

Witness ministry values greatly our relationship over many years with the CCAP in northern Malawi and it is wonderful to have contact with our brothers and sisters working in our vicinity.

Rev. Kalua can be contacted at kaluawilliam45@gmail.com.

CCAP Nkhoma Synod.

On Friday 18 June Kobus was again visited by Malawians – this time it were three ministers from the CCAP Nkhoma Synod.

They were here at Stellenbosch for a month’s study leave as all three of them are busy with their Post Graduate Diploma in Theology. It stretches over two years and prepares them for their MTh thereafter.

They will visit Stellenbosch again for a month later this year to have meetings with the lecturers of the subject they studied at home and to write their exams.
