Marina Prins sharing during the devotional time.

“I had the privilege of attending the 5th GMC (Global Mobilisation Consultation) from 16-20 October 2023 in Chiang Mai Thailand,” says Marina Prins, director of Member Care Southern Africa. She was asked to present three devotional sessions from a Member Care perspective. “It was a blessing to meet and connect with about 150 mobilisers from around the world. The theme of this year’s GMC was Dynamic Momentum.”

The GMC is a project of the GMN (Global Mobilization Network). It is a global gathering of mobilizers who want to learn from each other, share ideas and insights, and be encouraged by reports of what the Lord is doing all around the world, track the progress of mobilization efforts, and build on the great momentum of the expansion of God’s Kingdom. The GMN is an affiliated network of the WEA Mission Commission

“One of the great things about being involved in God’s mission, is that it is God’s mission, not ours!” says GMN. “As such, He is working to expand His kingdom among all peoples. We are simply the tools that He uses to mobilize His church to bring the gospel to all of the remaining people groups who have not yet had the opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus.”

On GMN’s facebook it says: “If our ministries are taken away: who are we? A powerful devotion talk from Marina Prins, co-founder of @Member Care South Africa. Personal Renewal: living in our identity in Christ. Our focus often: producing results. Instead think: what do our lives reflect? We are to signify God’s love in the world.”
